Day 11 (Till Christ be Formed)

Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]— 21 To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen (so be it).

Ephesians 3:20-21 AMPC

We recently renovated our upstairs. And by we, I mean my husband with the help of some friends. I mostly just watched. And I picked out the carpet.

He gutted it to the studs and completely rebuilt it. Of course, we needed some new tools. The job would have been incredibly more difficult without them. That trim wasn’t going to cut itself. It needed a little help from a power saw.

But that saw didn’t operate itself. My husband had to turn it on, hold it, direct it, use it.

We get excited about God doing superabundantly and far over and above all that we dare ask or think, but it’s in proportion to the power that is at work in us. We can let His power lay dormant in us, or we can put it to use. It needs an operator.

It’s as St. Augustine said. “Without God, we cannot. Without us, He will not.”

How do we put it to use? One way is to pray. Prayer releases the power of God.

Let’s pray together.

Father, Thank You for Your power that can do far more than we can imagine. And we thank You that Your power is at work in Your Church in the city of Warren. Let them experience You and Your power today. Give them a revelation of how to activate the power of God within. Give them the knowledge they need to walk in Your power today in every area of their life. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
