Day 13

In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.

Jeremiah 29:12-13 (NLT)

God hears me when I call. I find Him when I seek Him. These are truths we need to remember daily because they don’t always feel true. Our feelings can and will lie to us.

God is not playing hide and seek with us. Sometimes it can feel like that when we pray because we don’t “feel” anything. But effective prayer isn’t based in how we feel when we pray. It doesn’t have anything to do with whether or not we got a goose bump. It’s not about how loud we pray or even how long we pray.

Effective prayer is based on faith in God’s Word. Maybe you have been praying these past 13 days and wonder if it’s working. Do you wonder if God is even listening?

I can tell you for sure He is because His Word says He is. Period. Keep praying whether you feel anything or not. Your prayers are prevailing and releasing God’s power into this earth.

• Father, thank You for hearing me when I pray according to Your Word no matter how I feel.
• Father, help me grow in trust and intimacy with You as I continue this prayer journey.
• Father, give me ears to hear what You’re saying when I pray and help me draw closer to You day by day.

TODAY’S PRAYER FOR THE LOST IN WARREN, OHIO

Father, I know more than anything you long for the salvation of all the Lost in the city of Warren. I ask You to continue to reveal Yourself to them. Make Yourself real to them. Draw them close to You by Your Spirit.

Thank You, Lord, for laborers coming into their pathways, sharing the good news. I am believing they will listen and understand. May they not be able to resist the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Bring them to repentance by Your goodness and Your love through Your grace. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
