For this reason we also, from the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make [special] request for you, [asking] that you may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom [in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God] and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things.

Before we met Jesus, we made all our decisions based on our senses – what we see, taste, touch, feel, and smell. That’s how we were trained. That’s how we understood the world around us. That was all we knew.
But when we were born again, we gained access to an entirely new realm that we can’t experience with our natural senses. It’s the spirit realm, the realm in which God dwells. And we need help from Him to understand it.
We gain knowledge about it through the Word of God, but we gain wisdom and understanding of it through the Spirit of God. He doesn’t want us in the dark about who He is and how He moves. God wants us to understand Him. And prayer is crucial in our comprehension of all things related to the realm of the Spirit.

Father thank you for Your Church in the city of Warren. When they were born again, they were introduced to a whole new realm whether they realize it or not. So, we ask You to fill them with knowledge and spiritual wisdom about the realm in which You live. Help them understand Your ways and Your purposes so they can fully walk in them. We ask You to give them discernment of spiritual things so they can walk freely with You in the things of the Spirit. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
