Day 18

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

Psalm 34:8 (NKJV)

Drink deeply of the pleasures of God. Experience for yourself the joyous mercies he gives to all who hide themselves in him.

Psalm 34:8 (TPT)

One year at Christmas, I had a friend who told me, “Jesus is like pumpkin roll. It tastes so good you can’t keep it to yourself. You want to share it with everyone!”

For those of you who don’t know, pumpkin roll is a sweet roll of confection deliciousness. And I agree wholeheartedly. God is good, and Jesus is so sweet I want everyone I know to share in His sweetness.

I used to get so confused as to how people could not want Him. Then it dawned on me. They haven’t tasted Him yet. They haven’t experienced Him. They haven’t had a personal encounter with His mercy and goodness and love. Once you do, you’re hooked and you want everyone around you to taste and see what has set you free.

Let’s pray together.

PRAYER POINTS FOR ME

  • Father, I’m so thankful that I’ve tasted of Your sweetness.
  • Father, help me share Your goodness with those around me by pouring Your love through me.
  • Father, fill me so thoroughly with Your love and grace today that when I am under pressure, You are all that comes out.

TODAY’S PRAYER FOR THE LOST IN WARREN, OHIO

Father, may we see our city transformed by the goodness of God. May the joy of Your presence create renewed life in the streets of Warren and in the body of Christ. May that joy of Your goodness become an infectious, irresistible force of transformation in our homes, in our neighborhoods and the city of Warren. I pray for all the Lost in the city of Warren to have an encounter with You today and with Your goodness. Let them experience the joy of Your presence so they crave You more and more. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

We will see you back here tomorrow to pray together again.
