So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.
2 Thessalonians 1:11 NLT
Some prayers we pray are one and done. We pray the prayer of faith once and then we thank God for the answer.
But prayers like this, prayers like all the ones we’ve been praying the last month, are meant to be prayed again and again. There is no limit to how many times you can pray them. And every time you pray, God moves.
“So we keep on praying for you.” What did he keep on praying? He asked for the power to do what their faith prompted them to do.
What is He prompting you to do? It takes power to share the gospel with a coworker when you’re not sure how they are going to respond. But if He’s leading you to do it, ask Him for the power and press ahead.
Is He prompting you to bless someone with money when you have a financial need yourself? It takes power to be able to step out in faith. Go ahead and do it. He’ll be faithful to meet your needs.
Is He nudging you to give up some habits that are not in line with holy living? That will take some power.
Sometimes I pray these once a day for myself and my family, and other times I pray them five times a day. They are effective every time we pray them. Don’t stop praying.
Let’s pray together.
Father, we pray for Your Church in the city of Warren. Enable them to live a life worthy of Your name. Open their ears to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to them. Help their heart be sensitive to sense what You’re prompting them to do and empower them to do it. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
