Day 4

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9 (NIV)

They’ve been saying, “Jesus is coming back soon,” for centuries. As the apostles wrote the letters that make up our New Testament, they referred to it as His soon return. That was 2,000 years ago, yet here we still are.

And this is why. God isn’t willing that any should perish. He’s patiently waiting for the church to do its job of reaping the harvest. Reaping the harvest starts with praying and ends with telling the lost about the love of God.

Keep doing your job. Pray. Share. It will bear fruit for the kingdom. Once the harvest is fully reaped, He will come back and not a moment before. He paid a great price with His blood, and He is patiently waiting to get everything He paid for.

Let’s pray together.

PRAYER POINTS FOR ME

  • Father, give me Your heart of compassion for the lost.
  • Father, open my eyes to see the harvest right in front of me and help me pray for them without ceasing.
  • Father, I yield my life to be used by You in Your harvest. Help me pray. Send me forth. I am Yours.
  • Help us recognize open doors and places where we can tangibly minister the love of Christ to those You have placed right in front of us.
  • Father, help us to be present to those right in front of us each and every day.

Please open their eyes and reveal yourself to them again today. Touch their hearts with Your sweet love. Make Yourself real to them. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

We will see you back here tomorrow to pray together again.
