Day 9

For You will light my lamp; the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.

Psalm 18:28 (NKJV)

Have you ever tried to walk around in the dark? If it’s a familiar place, you may be able to make your way through, but you can’t see any obstacles or dangers around you. It’s easy to bump into things, step on a Lego®, and stumble about. But if you turn on the light, everything changes.

Over and over in scripture we see the contrast of light and darkness. God’s realm is light. The devil’s is darkness. Period. In fact, 1 John 1:5 says, “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.”

When we were born again, God turned on the light in our spirit and our soul and we were able to see clearly. And that’s exactly what needs to happen in the lives of the lost people on our lists. So that’s exactly what we’re going to pray today.

Let’s pray together.

PRAYER POINTS FOR ME

  • Father, I love living in the light of Your truth, of Your Word, and of Your love.
  • Father, thank You for shining Your light in my heart and soul, and drawing me close to You.
  • Father, continue to help me walk fully in the light. If my feet are heading towards dark paths, please enlighten the darkness so I can turn away from it.

TODAY’S PRAYER FOR THE LOST IN WARREN, OHIO

Father, I pray You will shine Your light in the hearts of all the Lost in the city of Warren. Make it so bright and clear that it exposes the darkness for the lie that it is and draw their hearts to You. Lord, we just lift up every person who is searching, who is broken, who is lost. We ask You to reveal Yourself as a beacon and a GPS so they come and find You because we know You are faithful. You are faithful to answer every prayer. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

We will see you back here tomorrow to pray together again.
