What’s Next?

Hey! Welcome back. We know you’re probably wondering, “Now what?” Love the Lost ended yesterday, it’s not quite Easter, so now what are we going to do? Well, the first thing we’re going to do is to continue to pray for the lost. So let’s do that right now.

Father God, we lift up the lost in the city of Warren to You again. We know the prayer initiative ended yesterday, but prayer doesn’t have to stop. So we ask You to continue to do what You’ve started to do and pour Yourself out into the hearts of the lost in the city of Warren to prepare them to receive the gospel when it’s preached to them. Father, we pray that when they receive an invitation to church that the Holy Spirit will move on their heart to need to be there and that You will draw their hearts to church. And we pray even for Your church that You will give us boldness to share our faith and to invite our unsaved friends and family co-workers to church with us on Easter morning. Father we thank You’re not done moving and we’re not done praying. And so we ask You that even as these days go on leading up to Easter that You will give us unction to pray. Help us to remember the lost, and every time we think about the lost, help us to pray. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

So we are going to continue to pray every day until Easter. We are not going to forget. The Holy Spirit is going to remind us.

Then some of you have been asking what’s next and wondering if there is anything else coming up. And the answer to that is yes! We have another prayer initiative if you’d like to join along with us. We are so excited you joined us for Love the Lost, and we hope that you have also grown on this prayer journey. You have sown your life and your time into praying for other people. You can never give of yourself like that without God growing you as well. We had all of those prayer points that we prayed for ourselves and we pray that you have also grown in your prayer life and in your walk with God.

We also hope that you have made this a daily prayer habit. Maybe it seemed like a chore before but we hope that now you look forward to getting up and praying because there’s a focus of prayer for you to connect to. Maybe you were wondering if you can continue to do this without a prayer focus. We believe you can, but we are also going to give you another initiative to connect to.

We have a follow-up prayer devotional called Till Christ Be Formed. It is made up of thirty-one days of different prayers that Peter and Paul and the apostles, as well as some things from the Old Testament, that they prayed for the church.

When you have a baby it becomes your responsibility to care for the baby. You feed them and change their diapers and hold them and comfort them and protect them. Part of our responsibility as the church when new babies come into the kingdom, which is what we’re praying will happen on Easter with a flood of new babies coming through every church in the city of Warren because the city of Warren has been praying. But these new babies are going to need help and prayer support from the body of Christ.

We put together thirty-one prayers that we can pray together in the same format as Love the Lost. We can pray these for those that get saved as well as for the church. You can pray these for every christian that you know. For every church that you know. For yourself! We want to pray for these new babes to grow until Christ is fully formed in them just like Paul said, “I travail in prayer for you again till Christ is formed in you.”

So we invite you to join with us on this. It will start after Easter through the website, the facebook page or the podcast. But there’s another way you can continue to pray with us. You can go back through Love the Lost and pray it again and again. Pray for your unsaved friends and family by name just like we prayed for the city of Warren. Just because these 28 days have ended doesn’t mean prayer has to end. You can keep praying.

And, you can tell your christian friends and family and pastors about it so you can pray together as churches.

So to recap the two ways you can continue to pray with us:

  • Pray through Love the Lost again for your unsaved friends and family.
  • Come back after Easter and pray through Till Christ be Formed with us for the Church in the city of Warren.

We will be praying for all the Christians and churches in Warren because we want to see strong, healthy churches in our city. That happens when we release the power of God when we pray, and we will do that through the prayer devotional Till Christ be Formed.

Listen, it’s a church on fire that will catch its city on fire. When we pray, God will stir that fire on the inside of His church and awaken in us desires beyond this world. Stronger desires for Him, for His Word, for His presence, for the great commission, for winning the lost. These desires are going to awaken on the inside of the church when we begin to pray together as a city for the church in Warren.

Will you join us on this prayer journey? Every time you pray you release the power of God into this earth, and it’s effective.
